The present invention relates to a collision-based thermodynamic heating apparatus (1) for use in oil and gas industry, comprising a collision chamber (2) and a pair of gas delivery means (3). The gas delivery means (3) are connected to opposite ends of the collision chamber (2) for controlled delivery of the gas streams into the collision chamber (2). A noise attenuation module (4) is connected to the collision chamber (2) for receiving a resultant gas stream exiting the collision chamber (2).
