Learn about OGSE-specific financial management practices to elevate your financial position and learn about frontier and financing opportunities as well as best practices.
The Malaysian Oil, Gas and Energy Services Council (MOGSC) is the owner of one of the initiative (E2- OGSE Financial Management Workshops). MOGSC is a non-profit, non-governmental (NGO) industry association, promoted and driven by the services sector of the Malaysian Oil & Gas Industry, which are mainly from Mid-Tier and SMEs companies.
In terms of financial strength, informational gaps in the industry have been constraining access to funding and in financing strategy. Some of the key gaps seen in OGSE companies in constraint access to finance includes debt and equity financing as well as funding from incentive schemes. Gaps found in financing strategy includes working capital management and alternative financing options.
Financial Management has been drawn specific attention to its impact on sustainability due to evolving role of sustainable business practices and strategies. However, there are still huge gaps and no sustainability guidelines in place for SMEs companies. One of the major levers that can be put in place is the focus on finance management for OGSE firms that must be complemented with sustainability financing.
