Bumiputera Frontier Financing Programme (BFF)

Provider

Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU)

Objective

Bumiputera Frontier Financing (BFF) is a collaborative programe between TERAJU and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (MEXIM).

It offers financing to Bumiputera exporter companies subject to credit evaluation by MEXIM Bank.

Funding Amount

Maximum of RM15 million per company subject to credit evaluation by MEXIM Bank.

Financing Margin: In line with MEXIM Bank's existing product offerings.

Financing Tenure:

  1. Trade financing: Up to 180 days
  2. Others: Up to 10 years
  3. For guarantee: usually below 1 year

Profit Rate: COF + profit spread rate (subject to company's credit risk.)

CAPEX/ Working Capital, Export

Eligibility

Qualified Bumiputera SME Exporter*

* Qualified Bumiputera SME Exporter’s eligibility as follows:

  1. Minimum 60% Bumiputera shareholding in the company;
  2. Not a subsidiary of a GLC or MNC company;
  3. The Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director is Bumiputera;
  4. The majority of the company’s Top Management are Bumiputera;
  5. Currently exporting or capable to embark into exporting activities;
  6. Registered with Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE);
  7. Awarded contract or successfully bidding for oversea projects;
  8. Meets the credit criteria requirement by EXIM Bank.

Scope of Funding

  1. For working capital and asset acquisition related to export activities.
