100% funding (grant) of eligible costs or up to RM0.25m Sandbox activities at a single site only 6 months project duration For technology validation, market validation & regulatory compliance activities

Eligibility

  • 51% equity owned by Malaysian
    • Must be a Malaysian entity (Minimum: Limited Liability Partnership) to be eligible for funding
    • Successfully accepted into the National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS)
    • Foreign Companies Allowed to Apply subjected to:
  • 51% equity owned by foreign
    • Applicants are eligible to apply for the Sandbox programme but not entitled for Government funding
    • Foreign technology allowed
    • Preference (Weightage) is given to local technology
    • JV Plan / Incorporation of Malaysia-owned entity, upon approval of application

  • Technology Licensing/Consultation Fees
  • Product registration/regulatory compliance costs
  • Cost of production for Sandbox Technology/Product
  • Outsourcing costs
  • IP-related costs, including novelty search, patent drafting & legal costs
  • Technology validation activities
  • Market validation activities
  • Operational expenditures
