Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU)

Objective

  1. As a Government incentive in a form of “tipping point” to encourage Bumiputera companies’ participation to explore new investments in strategic sectors;
  2. To increase Bumiputera companies’ capability in a competitive environment by creating more job opportunities at all level for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers; and
  3. To help Bumiputera companies in achieving sustainable economic growth by way of expansion program.

Funding Amount

Assistance of up to 10% of Qualified Project Cost (“QPC”) or RM2 million (whichever is lower) to Bumiputera companies on reimbursement basis.

Project Cost :

  1. Minimum project cost of RM500,000 to RM100 million for the purchase of machinery and equipment; or
  2. Minimum project cost of RM2.5 million to RM100 million for development projects.

* The project costs should exclude land prices, operating expenses, working capital and costs associated with intangible assets as well as service costs.

Purpose of Financing

Eligibility

  1. Eligible first-timer applicants.
  2. Company is incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016.
  3. The company does not consist of sole proprietorships (“enterprise”), conglomerates, public listed companies and their subsidiaries, government linked companies (GLC ”and Government Linked Investment Company -“ GLIC ”) and their subsidiaries, Government linked companies State and its subsidiaries, cooperatives, foundations, associations and organizations.
  4. The Company has 100% Bumiputera shareholdings.
  5. The Company’s CEO / MD / Majority of Top Management are Bumiputera.
  6. The Company and/or any company or entity does not have the same shareholder or director or bank account signatory who has previously received Facilitation Fund grant assistance or any grants from TERAJU and/or any Government grants for the same project.
  7. The Company has the right to implement the project on the proposed land / site / premises and at least the approval of Planning Permission by the Local Authority (“PBT”) and / or mandatory approval from other relevant agencies to initiate project implementation.
  8. Project progress does not exceed 30% of the total project development at the time the application is received.
